Who Is The Crabfeeder At The End Of House Of The Dragon Episode 2?

It is important to note that “House of the Dragon” is based on George R.R. Martin’s prequel book, “Fire and Blood,” and as such, there is a bit of plot for the show to draw from. Considering this, we can make a safe bet that the figure at the end of the second episode is Craghas Drahar, a character from the source material who eventually earns the moniker “Crabfeeder” for his obvious choice of execution strategies. This is best highlighted by his forces nailing shipwrecked survivors to debris, and letting hordes of tiny crabs pick and pincer their victims to death. Not exactly a pleasant way to go, that’s for sure.

According to A Wiki of Ice and Fire, Drahar is an admiral that hails from the “Free Cities,” which consist of Myr, Lys, and Tyrosh, which is also known as “The Triarchy.” This is the reason why King Viserys fears moving against the Crabfeeder’s forces; he has an association with the former colonies of the Valyrian Freehold. Considering the location of the Stepstones and the apprehensive views of Lord Corlys, this area is an incredibly important shipping lane. The Crabfeeder’s presence in the Stepstones will cause some serious disruptions to Lord Coryls’ holdings, and this is the reason why he attempts to lure Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) into this conflict. Needless to say, Drahar will be an important player in the upcoming episodes of “House of the Dragon” because it is never good when a foreign power sets up shop on important trade routes.
